I'm glad you found your way here, it means that you feel something is not right in your body and you are seeking help to change that. 

 

I am a licensed CMT who has been practicing around the Twin Cities metro area and surrounding suburbs for over 12 years, and over that time I have come to recognize many of the aches and pains that we feel can be enhanced by a disconnect between our minds and our bodies. In our day-to-day lives, we can be very easily distracted by a plethora of factors, not limited to but including:

 

•The pressure of the 9-5 workday and all the smaller tasks we feel pressured to accomplish within that time frame.

•The wants/needs of our loved ones and our innate human tendency to put others before ourselves.

•The constant bombardment of technology and the sacrifices we make in our postures to accommodate the devices that implement that technology.

 

Individually, these factors might not seem like a big deal, but once they start collectively stacking up against us, we can easily lose the connection of our own awareness and we might not realize it until we move a certain way or perform a certain action, only to realize our movements are limited if not completely stuck due to something more acute, like PAIN!

 

One of the benefits of receiving regular massage is that it can allow us to reduce the stress that contributed to these blockages and re-establish the connection between our minds and our bodies, thus increasing our own awareness and also our ability to reduce the probability of it affecting us in the future. That is my goal. I strive to utilize my skills in modalities such as Swedish relaxation and deep tissue/trigger point therapy/therapeutic massage to assist you in creating a more harmonious balance within yourself, and thus, a happier and healthier life.
